Movie Story:
This docudrama tells the story of the rise and collapse of the Roman Empire in the perspective of these rebel leaders — termed as barbarians from the Romans — that found epic conflicts which will help shape the future. The eight-part show details the 700-year struggle to bring down among the world’s most powerful empires. The warriors whose tales are told at the fact-based episodes comprise Hannibal, who pledged to ruin Rome as a 9-year-old; slave-turned-rebel Spartacus, who headed a barbarian revolt; Celtic warrior queen Boudica; and Viriathus, a shepherd who became a rebel leader.
